Meet our team
I chose to study dentistry, because both the patient care, the technical part and the creativity really appealed to me. Not a day is the same and that makes the profession very interesting for me. I find patient contact very important and therefore take plenty of time for everyone. In 2008 I completed my studies in dentistry at the University of Groningen (RUG). Meanwhile, I have been a dentist for more than 10 I have always said that I would like to have my own practice and this has now come true. However, I did want to do this together with someone, so you have a sparring partner and can run your practice even better. Chera and I met in another practice and from that moment we went for it together to realize our own practice. I keep my knowledge up to date by attending courses/congresses and researching literature. In addition, I participate monthly in a dental study group/dental consultation (Iqual). I hope to meet you in our practice.
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to work in health care to be able to help people. During high school I hesitated between studying Dentistry and Medicine. I was actually looking for a profession in which I could help people and at the same time transfer knowledge. In the end, I chose Dentistry because the combination of patient contact and practical work really appealed to me. In 2009 I completed my dental education at the University of Groningen (RUG). I find the creative work in combination with the precision fantastic. The many variations in the profession, from helping anxious people to giving someone a radiant smile, makes Dentistry so fantastic.
For me, there is nothing better than people going out the door with a big smile and having experienced a visit to the dentist as pleasant. Trust is a high priority for the team and for me, which is why I spend a lot of time and energy realizing a trusting relationship with my patients.
In addition to General Dentistry, I have a great passion for Aesthetic Dentistry and Children’s Dentistry. I keep my knowledge and skills up to date by attending continuing education courses, researching literature and participating in a dental study group/dental consultation (Iqual).

Looking forward to seeing you!
Hello, I am Yvonne Donders, prevention assistant in this practice since January 1, 2020. I started working as a dental assistant in 1992 and did this job for four years. During the arrival of my two children, I was out of the profession for thirteen years and upon returning, I found out how much I missed this profession! I have since completed all kinds of training, including the Anesthesia course in 2010 and the Prevention Assistant course in 2012. So you will be able to see me at the chair as an assistant one day and cleaning your teeth the next. I do my job with a lot of passion and pleasure and hope to continue doing so for many years to come in this practice.
I am very happy that I can practice my profession in the Netherlands and that I continue to grow in it. My career in Dentistry began in Syria, as a dental assistant. By now I have been working in Dentistry for twenty-two years, in the Netherlands since 2008. I particularly enjoy working with patients. I am aware that the treatments are not always pleasant for the patients. Nevertheless, I do my best to make it all a little more pleasant, for example by explaining everything clearly. My work is varied and I have nice colleagues, which makes me very happy.
My name is Irene and I am originally from Indonesia, I have been living in the Netherlands since 2010. I received my bachelor’s degree in English after studying in Indonesia.
In the Netherlands, I was introduced to dentistry and received my diploma as a dental assistant in 2012.
Dentistry is a fun profession for me because through it we help patients get their smiles back. Recently I completed the anesthesia course and am allowed to place anesthetics.
You can often find me at the front desk to greet you and also to make your appointments. In addition, I also enjoy assisting our dentists
In addition to my work, I dance and love to cook.
I love my job and am very proud to be part of the team Dental Practice Heresingel.
My name is Kirsten Hoogstra. I started my training as a dental assistant in February 2022 and have been working at the Dental Practice Heresingel ever since.
What I like about my job is the daily variety of different activities.
For example, you can find me behind the counter, here I am the first point of contact for patients and I am happy to answer your questions. The other moment I am sitting at the chair and helping the dentist to make the treatment as pleasant as possible for you. I am very happy and grateful that I have the opportunity to successfully complete my training in this practice.
