What is a root canal treatment?

If it turns out that there is inflammation in your tooth, performing a root canal treatment is highly likely.

In most cases, a root canal treatment is a painless treatment because the patient is locally anesthetized before the start of the treatment.

To work as accurately as possible, we use a microscope when performing a root canal treatment. The root canal is cleaned by a filing technique. After the canal system is carefully cleaned, the root canal will also be ultrasonically rinsed out to ensure that as much bacteria as possible are killed. Ultrasonic rinsing is crucial for a greater cleaning effect. Finally, the tooth or molar will be filled with warm gutta-percha and cement. In this way, the root canal is hermetically sealed, significantly reducing the chance of new inflammation.
