What is implantology?

In case of missing one or more teeth with both the root and the top, it is possible to have both missing elements replaced by an implant.

An implant is an artificial root that is placed in the jaw. Most implants look like a type of screw. Because implants are usually made of titanium, they are reliable and sturdy alternatives. In addition, titanium is bio-compatible; that is, it is not rejected by the body, allowing bone to grow directly against it. A crown is placed on top of the implant. In the case of a bridge, multiple crowns are placed over multiple implants.
